Escape to the country

Last September I was approached by the company that makes ‘Escape to the Country’ for the BBC, to see if I would run a workshop with two people who were appearing on the programme. Sam and John Murray were looking for a house on the Suffolk / Norfolk border and, as they both enjoy making things, the programme makers wanted to give them an opportunity to work with a local artist.
We filmed in my studio and my work got a little bit of air-time, which was a wonderful bonus. Sam and John each made a coaster – both very different – which I fired in my kiln after they’d left and posted on to them. The programme was aired on 14th April this year and you can watch it here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002v38m
One of the main outcomes of the day was that it has reminded me how much I love doing workshops, so I’ll be promoting these this year, starting with a new page on my website.
