Workshops

I love introducing people to glass through one-off workshops in my studio. I offer sessions in both stained glass and fused glass, focussing on beginners, but also providing opportunities for those with a little more experience to come and develop their skills. My workshops are about having fun, being creative, using your hands and making something you’ll be proud of.

If you want to see me in action, I was featured on ‘Escape to the Country’ on 14th April 2026, doing a fused glass session with Sam and John Murray. Follow this link https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002v38m to watch it.

If you want to have a go yourself, have a look at the details below and then contact me to arrange a date to come and play.

Stained Glass Workshop

  • 10am-4.30pm
  • £90 per person, including all materials and refreshments (bring your own lunch)

In this workshop you’ll make two small pieces of stained glass using the copper foil or Tiffany technique. One piece will be made using a template and you’ll design the second piece yourself. You’ll learn how to work with glass and tools safely, how to cut and grind glass, how to foil the edges, and how to solder the pieces together. Your work will be ready to take away at the end of the day.

Fused Glass Workshop

  • 10am – 1pm / 1.30pm – 4.30pm
  • £50 per person, including all materials and refreshments

In this workshop you’ll explore the kiln-formed or warm glass technique of fusing. You’ll design one medium sized or two small piece/s to make during the session. You’ll learn how to work with glass and tools safely, how to cut glass, and how to prepare your work to be fired in the kiln. Your work will be ready to collect a week after the workshop, or it can be posted to you for a small additional cost.

Fused glass & kiln carved glass workshop

  • 10am – 4pm
  • £90 per person, including all materials and refreshments (bring your own lunch)

This workshop explores two different kiln-formed or warm glass techniques: fusing and kiln-carving. We’ll explore the final results of the two different techniques and you’ll design pieces to complement each other. You’ll learn how to work with glass, tools and materials safely, how to cut glass, how to work with fibrepaper, and how to prepare your work to be fired in the kiln. Your work will be ready to collect a week after the workshop, or it can be posted to you for a small additional cost.

Returners  glass workshop

Aimed at those of you with a little bit of experience of working with glass, these sessions can be designed around your ideas and needs.

As well as workshops in my studio, I run copper foil stained glass sessions for Stoke Bridge Workshops in Ipswich. Have a look at their website https://www.stokebridgeworkshops.co.uk/workshops-and-events to see when I’m next working with them.
