This work explores notions of perception versus reality, and imposed identity. Using my signature style of transliterated Urdu/English text hand cut in glass and manipulated in the kiln, it draws attention to the multi-faceted nature of the human condition. It invites the viewer to remember that we are each much more than the one thing that external forces choose to define us by, and encourages the viewer to challenge definitions that get imposed upon them or that they seek to impose on others.
